Dorothy Josephine Ledford Rose, 87, widow of Charles A. Rose, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Stanton Nursing Center. She was born May 8, 1934 in Slade, Kentucky to the late Courtney and Anna Belle McKenzie Ledford. Survivors include, her daughter Deborah Lynn Tipton and spouse Mendel, sons Randolph Byron Rose and Gregory Evan Rose. Her grandchildren are Christina Rose Tipton Stowe, Jessica Gywnn Tipton Sorrels, Alan Douglas Tipton, Nicholas Byron Rose, Randolph Christopher Rose, Charles Patrick Rose, Natalie Rachel Rose, Jake William Rose and step grandchildren Hope Thomas, Lee North and Ian North. Great grandchildren are Rachel Elizabeth Stowe, Samuel Adam Stowe, Jack Purnell Sorrels, Courtney Baines Sorrels, Conley Gwynn Sorrels, Jackson Slade Rose, Luke Abram Rose, Ava Elizabeth Rose, Owen Christopher Rose and Caroline Bennett Rose and step greatgrandchildren, Greyson Andrew Sherrick, Aiden Ian Elijah North, and Emberlyn Nicole North. She is survived by her sister Ruth Ledford Johnson and her brothers Ira Ledford, Gene Ledford and Trulan Ledford. She is preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter Delva Ann Rose, her parents and sisters Beulah Ledford Toombs, Bonnie Ledford Delong, Sylvia Ledford Frost and brothers Lawrence Ledford, Carl Ledford, Courtney Ledford Jr. and Truman Ledford. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Services Tuesday, February 15, 7:00PM Davis & Davis Funeral Home. Visitation Tuesday 5-7pm at the funeral home. Burial Wednesday, February 16, 12:00PM Ledford Cemetery with Nicolas Rose, Christopher Rose, Charles Rose, Alan Tipton, Ian North, and Adam Stowe serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers serving, Wanda Catron, Devonna Ledford, Walt Shuler, Bonnie Whisman, Pam Hood, Tom Hatton, and Wade Gibbs.
