Wanda Louise Knowles, 75, passed away Saturday, January 9 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington. She was born August 22, 1940 in Clay City to the late Bill and Anna Goff Stewart. She was a Powell County head start teacher, a Bundy Tubing employee, and spent her last years working in nursing and in home care for the elderly. She was saved at an early age, a faithful worker in the church, and a warrior of Christ. Survivors include, Sons, Ernest Knowles, Winchester, Tinty and wife, Kimberly Knowles, Clay City, and Brian and wife, Jessica Williams, Clay City; daughters, Joyce Ann Martin, San Francisco, CA and Regina Agricourt, Glendale, CA; brothers, Russell Stewart, Winchester, James Stewart, Clay City, and Ed Stewart, Clay City; sister, Barbara Williams, Clay City; grandchildren, Ernest, Erica, Jeffrey Jr., Jermaine, Ashley, Preston, Garrick, Julian, Jaden, Braxton, Kylie, Sloane, Maddox, Vicente, Adrian, DaShaun, Daylan, and Chloe; several great and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Aaron Knowles Jr.; daughter, Marcia Mullins; and brother, Michael Stewart. Services Thursday, January 14, 12:00PM Emmanuel Baptist Church. Visitation Wednesday 5-8pm Davis & Davis Funeral Home. Burial in Triple G Cemetery, Clay City with Nick Townsend, James Stewart Jr., Keith Stewart, David Jones, Doug Elam, and Travis Haggard. Honorary pallbearers serving, Dr. Charles Noss, Mae Robinson, Faye Means, Otis Hall, Tim Hall, Mack Hall, and Andrew Hall.
